This year, the Big River Watch takes place from 24th - 30th April, and those who would like to take part only need to spend 15 minutes watching the river, as well as (optionally) testing the water quality for nitrate and phosphate levels.

Glenkens Arts and Community Trust (GCAT) have teamed up with The Crichton Trust on two new projects aimed at improving life in the Glenkens.

President, Irene McCreath welcomed a very good turnout to the meeting on 19th March 2026. She introduced Ernie Budd who invited members to sit in a circle of chairs that he had arranged. Low volume, relaxing music was playing in the background and Ernie explained that we were going to join him in gentle movement, tai chi for health.
