About the Glenkens Hub
About
The Glenkens Hub website provides community-led information for the Glenkens and is a sister publication to the Glenkens Gazette, the bi-monthly community news magazine, which has been distributed for free around Balmaclellan, Carsphairn, Corsock, Crossmichael, Kirkpatrick Durham, Laurieston, Mossdale, New Galloway, Parton and St John’s Town of Dalry since 2006.
This project has been made possible by funding from the Glenkens & District Community Fund, administered by the Glenkens & District Trust and Foundation Scotland, and from the Galloway Glens Landscape Partnership Scheme. Thanks go to them, as well as to the Glenkens Gazette subcommittee, who keep the Gazette on the straight and narrow and have been invaluable in the development of this project.
The Glenkens Hub was inspired by the request of the communities as part of the Glenkens and District Community Action Plan and we hope that you find it both enjoyable and informative.
