The second round of the Hub’s Seed Fund is now open to support community climate action in Dumfries & Galloway with grants worth up to £1000.
The Dumfries & Galloway Woodlands Summer Events Programme invites you to explore Trees from a new angle!
Dumfries & Galloway Woodlands is a new initiative looking to support trees, habitats and the people that depend upon them across the region. With support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and a whole range of partners, the Summer Programme of Events sets out to look at trees in many different ways, celebrating what we know and don’t know about our woodlands.
Volunteers sought for the first tree planting day at the Upper Barr Community Woodland
Volunteers are sought to come and try their hand at tree planting, and can hear more about plans on the site. Tree Planting will be between 11am-3pm on Saturday 15th June, with light lunch provided for those on site at lunchtime!
Summer Golf Coaching at New Galloway Golf Club
From Saturday 6th July for 4 weeks, the club is offering FREE coaching sessions for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 16. These will be group sessions and clubs, balls etc will be provided.
