Recognising that the Glenkens is experiencing rapid land use change, Glenkens Community & Arts Trust (GCAT) and Dalry Town Hall are working together to try a new approach that amplifies our connections with land and place.
The View Points project is a long term recording of land use changes over time, from fixed view points. It was launched in August 2025 as part of the Land Notes Festival, a celebration of how we are rooted in, and connected to, our Glenkens natural environment and the importance of often-overlooked places and species.
There are so many examples of treasured spaces, significant for us both as individuals and communities. You can help us celebrate the importance of these often overlooked places by taking part in the project.
