Ken Bridge Hotel

  • Part of the Watson Birds Trail

Lying on the Water of Ken, this is a perfect base from which to view one of Donald Watson's favourite stretches of water and the subject for a good many of his paintings, particularly of goosander. He would park at the hotel, or in a tiny pull-off on the A713 just north of the bridge. This afforded an excellent view of a long stretch of water, with a backdrop of native broadleaved woodland on Knockskaig.
