Join the Loch Ken Junior Rangers and take part in an exciting programme of practical conservation activities, outdoor skills and environmental learning while working towards the Scottish Countryside Rangers Association (SCRA) Junior Ranger Award.
Living and Working in the Glenkens: Skills and Jobs Fair showcases local career opportunities in the Glenkens
Young people, career changers, entrepreneurs and anyone interested are invited to meet employers and find out about the wealth of careers available in and around the Glenkens at the event, which takes place from 4-6pm at Dalry Secondary School on 30th September.

The Glenkens Community and Arts Trust (GCAT) is proud to showcase the breadth and talent of young people living and working in the Glenkens through a new project, Our Glenkens.
Shining a Spotlight on the Glenkens
The project is currently seeking videographers to create exciting social media content for its Glenkens Hub website and social media channels. The stories, photos and reels will spotlight younger people living and working in the Glenkens.
Fun and games with the Glenkens Youth Group
There has been a lot of creativity at the Glenkens Youth Group over the past few months. The members often choose to paint or draw, and they are a very talented group. The space is always filled with music, with their own playlist setting the scene. An informal sing-a-long is a common occurrence!
Christmas magic at the CatStrand
The festive season was made even more enchanting for children in the Glenkens in 2023, thanks to a Christmas Wonderland event at the CatStrand in December.

Dumfries and Galloway Local Employability and Skills Partnership (DGLEP) and The Galloway Glens Scheme have launched a report which will help employability services to support young people and their employers in the region.
