Christmas magic at the CatStrand

The festive season was made even more enchanting for children in the Glenkens in 2023, thanks to a Christmas Wonderland event at the CatStrand in December.

CatStrand Christmas Grotto

The CatStrand ChristmasWonderland's magical team of elves, helpers and even Santa himself.

Supported by funding from Tesco's 'Bags of Help’ and the Holywood Trust, this event was planned and organised by the talented CatStrand Art Ambassadors - a group of 12 to 21-year-old volunteers that get involved with planning and organising events as part of the CatStrand Young Creatives programme.

It was not only a fantastic way to celebrate the holiday season but also a reminder of the power of community and the impact that a dedicated group of individuals can have, highlighting the importance of nurturing young talent and supporting initiatives that promote creativity and community engagement. We're very proud of our Art Ambassadors and hope that they are too.

If you are 12 years plus and would like to become a CatStrand Art Ambassador or find out more, email Cat on catherine@catstrand.com.
