Haunting Halloween fun in Carsphairn

Bairn Banter Halloween 2024

Children from all around the Glenkens joined the Carsphairn based children's group Bairn Banter for a haunting Halloween party in Lagwyne Hall on Saturday 2nd November. The group welcomed children of all ages to attend the party free of charge.

Taking a Halloween twist on the usual party games, the party goers enjoyed taking part in musical statues, wrap the ‘mummy’, the hanging doughnut game (which even the adults couldn’t resist taking part in) and finally a tricky to beat pinata.

The youngsters also participated in a range of Halloween themed activities such as gruesome sensory play (resembling worms), a spooky soft play area, ‘dookin’ for apples, pumpkin bowling and black cat hoopla.

A buffet style feast of healthy and delicious food was also laid out for the children and adults to enjoy as part of the annual celebration.

Bairn Banter’s founder, Melissa Ade commented “It was wonderful to see lots of children and adults all dressed up in their spooky wear to come together and celebrate with us here in Carsphairn. We all had lots of fun and I want to say a special thank you to everyone who came along to enjoy the party and to the very helpful parents, their help and support made the party such a spook-tacular event!

The fundraising efforts from sales of the Carsphairn Community Market back in September were used to fund this fun, free party for our local families to enjoy.
