Crossmichael Local Place Plan nears completion
After a year of consultations, questionnaires and conversations, Crossmichael’s Local Place Plan is ready for its final comments before presenting to Dumfries and Galloway Council.
Caroline Reeves, Crossmichael Community Council Secretary said:
“I would like to thank the many residents who engaged in discussions about what we should include in our Place Plan, not always part of the 'official' consultations. I hope that, within the restrictions of planning legislation, we have been able to include many things from the wish lists that developed.
We had a huge contribution of images of the area from a wide range of people, editing the list of those to use was a challenge. I wonder if we should have an exhibition of the photos?
My fellow Community Councillors have been very supportive throughout this lengthy process and are no doubt relieved that the end is in sight!
As ever the support from GCAT has been invaluable in many different areas, as can be seen by the fact that we are here in the Glenkens Hub to ensure a much wider readership.
Thank you everyone, we now await the results of the wider consultation.”
