Carsphairn SWI Carpet Bowling Team has fun against the odds

Carsphairn SWI was pleased to have a team taking part in the Stewartry Federation carpet bowling competition on Sunday 30th November 2025.

Dorothy ably led Janice, Helen and Christine against five other Stewartry SWI teams. Carsphairn had mixed results. Although not placed, they excelled in commitment and enjoyment.

Refreshments were provided half way through the afternoon which were very welcome. Thanks to everyone who contributed to making the afternoon such a success and congratulations to Rhonehouse SWI who took the trophy.

A comment was made on the way home that the Carsphairn team hadn’t even managed to win anything in the raffle!
