Crossmichael Local Place Plan
Crossmichael & District Community Council has been asked to submit a Local Place Plan to Dumfries & Galloway Council. This is for inclusion in the next Local Development Plan which the council is currently working on.
A Local Place Plan is a very important way to ensure we can protect and improve our communities and the land around us. It's an opportunity to say what we would like to improve, change or replace and include any community benefits we would like to have. We will be contacting as many people across the parish as possible so that we can include everyone's thoughts. Do you want more green spaces, better footpaths, better community services? Do you need better broadband, better access to the river, more community events? We know you want fewer potholes!
We have made an initial start with forms in the shop, the Thistle Inn and the Church Hall. We are creating on-line questionnaires for sharing; we will be posting on Facebook and putting up posters. There will be public meetings for everyone to have their say and share thoughts, with maps and snacks!
