20th Anniversary for The Great Corsock Show and Scarecrow Competition
After the record-breaking success of last year, this year's organisers are hoping they can match, if not exceed, the 353 entries at the upcoming show on 29th August 2026.
Always a great day for Corsock and the wider Glenkens, entries are welcomed for categories including baking, vegetables, flowers, handicrafts, children's classes and this year also the famous scarecrow competition.
The 12 winning images from this year's photography category, with the theme 'local landscape', will be used for The Great Corsock Show Calendar 2027. Last year saw some great images - as good as any you'll find in the Countryfile Calendar!
Doors open to the public at 1pm and all are welcome to view the entries, have a bash at the bottle stall and raffle and catch up with friends, and the ever-popular barbecue and cafe will keep everyone refreshed.
Look out for the yellow entry and schedule form available in local shops, the CatStrand and Corsock Village Hall - or download here →
As always, raffle prizes and bottle stall donations are very welcome.
Entries can be dropped off at the hall on Friday 28 August from 7 - 8.30pm, or on the morning of Saturday 29 August from 9.30 - 10.45am.
