JOB OPPORTUNITY: FREELANCE CLEANER (thanks to the Glenkens Community Shop)

Freelance cleaner wanted

Balmaclellan Village Hall is looking for a reliable, self-motivated Freelance Cleaner to help keep our community space clean, welcoming, and ready for local groups and events.

About the Role

  • Rate: £16 per hour

  • Hours: Approximately 5 hours per month (flexible, depending on hall usage)

  • Contract: Initial 6-month arrangement

  • Location: Balmaclellan Village Hall

Responsibilities Include:

  • General cleaning of the hall, kitchen, and toilets

  • Emptying bins and keeping communal areas tidy

  • Reporting when cleaning stocks are low

  • Helping to ensure the hall is presentable for community activities and bookings

Ideal Candidate:

  • Trustworthy and able to work independently

  • Attention to detail

  • Flexible with time and able to fit cleaning around hall bookings, but a regular time will be scheduled

  • Previous cleaning experience is an advantage but not essential
