Volunteer for Watson Birds

BIRDS. NATURE & THE ARTS IN THE GLENKENS - COME VOLUNTEER FOR WATSON BIRDS

Watson Birds

We have a long established project (see www.watsonbirds.org) and we are looking for new folk to give us new life and impetus.

There are lots of opportunities to promote nature and the arts in The Glenkens through Watson Birds.

  • Running activities with young people at school and in the community

  • Leading guided walks and trips around our two trails

  • Recording memories of Donald and Joan Watson

  • Holding talks about our local environment

  • Putting on musical or other events in the villages

  • Reviving the Watson Raptor Science Prize under new leadership by an outstanding scientist

We have a collection of Donald Watson’s paintings for use in exhibitions. We have 2 Trails for walking and riding. We have published a book about Donald Watson, and along with other merchandise, these are for sale in the CatStrand shop.

To find out more of how you can be involved with The Cultural Glenkens Watson Bird Project please contact: jo@catstrand.com or call CatStrand on 01644 420374.
