The 20th Anniversary Great Corsock Show arrives on 29th August
Saturday 29th August is the Great Corsock Show - an event now established as a Galloway institution and open to all.
2026 is a special 20th Anniversary Show – marking two decades since it was established. This year’s show has added significance, celebrating the input of Show founder and stalwart Judi Shaw who passed away this year.
Last year set a new record, with 353 entries across all categories. This year’s show features 59 categories, with judges assessing everything from jams and baking, through to woodcraft and sweet peas.
People can also enter the scarecrow competition for the chance of a cash prize. The special judge’s challenge this year is an individual pavlova. Dare you tackle the pavlova challenge?!
The show programme with a full list of how to enter and categories is available from local shops, from Corsock Hall porch or online here: https://glenkens.scot/glenkens-news/20th-anniversary-for-the-great-corsock-show-and-scarecrow-competition‍ ‍
Entries are welcomed from all, either dropped off at Corsock hall on Friday night between 7-8.30pm or on the Saturday morning 9.30-10.45am. The doors are then closed at 10.45am and the judging begins.
