Tender Opportunity: Glenkens Gazette Special Edition

The Glenkens Community & Arts Trust (GCAT) has a long track record of economic regeneration through arts and community work in the Glenkens. We are a key anchor organisation for the area, with a clear vision of making the Glenkens an excellent place to live for people of all ages.

GCAT has sourced funding from NatureScot for a one-off special edition of the Glenkens Gazette, to be published with the April / May 25 Gazette. The special edition will have a focus on Community Action Plan delivery, with a particular focus on the Glenkens Land Use Vision, and will serve as a showcase for the important community-led work that is being carried out across the Glenkens.

To achieve this, GCAT are offering a fixed-sum contract to:

  • Provide sufficient copy and images to create a 16-page engaging and readable stand-alone special edition that advertises the good work that we are doing in the Glenkens to an external audience

  • Plus options for a shorter 8-page version for inclusion in the April / May Glenkens Gazette.

  • 3 case-study short videos (5 min max) for inclusion on the Glenkens Hub.

To apply, email helen@catstrand.com with your CV and covering letter setting out your strengths with regard to this tender, your connection to community development in the Glenkens and your match with the Person Specification (see Tender Opportunity document), plus one or two past examples of your work.

The closing date for application is 6th January 2025, 9am.
