Glenkens Community Spaces Network

Glenkens Community Spaces Network

Glenkens Community Spaces Network was created by GCAT in early 2023 to provide a forum for the management committees of our village halls, town halls, community centres and other community spaces to come together to share ideas, successes and issues. The Network meets every other month, visiting a different community venue each time.

Becca Nelson is the group's facilitator, and has a day per week to work on projects agreed in the group's meetings, as well as to support individual committees with specific issues relating to operational matters, capital projects or marketing.

If you are involved in running a community space in the Glenkens, are not yet part of the network and would like to be, please contact Becca (Becca.glenkens.anf@gmail.com).

Becca's role has been funded through 2023, 2024 and 2025 by a grant from the Glenkens and District Community Benefit Fund – thank you!

Becca works with Jo Jackson, Community Activity Advisor, who also has one day per week to help community venues in the Glenkens develop a sustainable activities programme, as well as coordinating events.

Jo's role has been funded through 2025 and 2026 by the National Lottery 'Awards for All' Scheme - thanks to National Lottery players!
