Leanne Pumpr
Leanne is the head ranger for the Loch Ken Trust and lives in New Galloway.
Her work involves managing visitors to ensure sure that Loch Ken remains a beautiful place for future generations, including raising awareness of biosecurity and biodiversity issues.
As well as patrolling the loch and surroundings, Leanne also helps educate young children on water safety and cooking safely outdoors.
“There are so many opportunities to do the things that we enjoy as a family. We go out walking. We go out swimming. There are so many activities that you can do that costs nothing.”
