Maintenance and Support Operative - Barwhillanty Estate

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Barwhillanty Estate as the Maintenance and Support Operative. Barwhillanty Estate is a working family estate in the beautiful Galloway hills of Kirkcudbrightshire in Southwest Scotland.

This new role has been created to support the wider team in times of need and to ensure maintenance of properties and other infrastructure outside the work of tradesmen / engineers etc. The role will initially be 30 hours per week but will likely quickly evolve into a full time position.

Suitable qualifications and references essential.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate experience in the above and:

• Be able to work under their own initiative with attention to detail

• Be flexible in their hours of working and willing to work anti-social hours / weekends

• Be contentious and capable of working as part of a wider team

• Good people skills would be beneficial to support the hospitality / events side of the business
