D&G Climate Hub announces Climate Ready Communities Fund

The D&G Climate Hub, hosted by the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere Partnership and part of the Scottish Government’s national network of community climate hubs, has launched a new funding programme which offers local charities and constituted groups up to £15,000 to support projects that help achieve climate resilience in Dumfries & Galloway.

Local nature recorders sought for 2025 BioBlitz

The Galloway & Southern Ayrshire Biosphere Partnership will be competing with other UNESCO Biospheres in the British Isles to collect the most wildlife and nature records in a special ‘BioBlitz’ event on 23rd August, and is inviting local people to take part.

Free Climate Hub workshops in August

In August Dumfries & Galloway Climate Hub will put on 2 free workshops called Letter Writing for Political Engagement, facilitated by author and environmental scientist Sandy Winterbottom who represents paperboats.org, a Scotland-based collective of writers focussed on nature and environment in a time of climate and ecological breakdown.
