Stewards needed for Carsphairn Heritage Centre

Stewards needed - Carsphairn Heritage Centre

Carsphairn Heritage Initiative needs volunteers to stewards in Heritage Centre which is an important resource for Carsphairn and has been for many years.

If you are interested in Carsphairn's history and are happy to talk to visitors to the Centre at weekends, we’d love to hear from you!

The current exhibition is 'Music Making in the Glenkens' with some interesting information and some instruments to try, whilst the exciting Stroanfreggan dig starts next month which visitors may be interested in. It is planned to record some of the dig for the TV programme 'Digging for Britain' for broadcast at a later date.

The Centre is a pleasant place to sit with wi fi available and an electric kettle for hot drinks.Currently the morning session runs from 10am to 12.30pm and the afternoon session 12.30pm to 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays so each period of cover is 2 and 1/2 hours.

Full guidance will be provided. If you can help out, please email the secretary at the following email address: lizholmes21@gmail.com.
