New bus timetables and routes issued by D&G Council and SWestrans
After a review of bus network contracts, SWestrans and Dumfries and Galloway Council have announced updated arrangements for the region’s buses. The new timetables and in some cases routes, will begin on Thursday 7th August 2025.
There are many changes to timetables and service destinations, including the removal of part of the 520 service between Carsphairn and Dalmellington. This service used to provide on-going travel to Ayr.
D&G Council strongly encourage bus users to check the details of their specific route before travelling. The full list of timetables can be found on their website here.
