Help us brighten up the Glenkens Hub

The Glenkens Hub website is looking for photographers to help show off how great it is to live here.

We all know we live in a beautiful place with an enviable range of scenery, from high hills to long lochs, wild woods to knobbly knowes. But we also know that depopulation is a huge problem and there are several projects such as Our Glenkens and the Skills & Jobs Fair, aimed at showing people, especially younger folk, that there are many opportunities for work and family life, right here in the Glenkens.

We’d love your help to showcase Glenkens folk out and about, and enjoying all that the area has to offer - people in the landscape, in our towns and villages and at local events - to complement all the fantastic scenery photography that we already have.

Do you have any suitable images you would be willing to share?

There is a short form on our Photo Submission page (link also in the footer), which guides you through how to submit a photo so that we’ll be able to use it.

To make sure that everyone in the photo is ok with it being used online, everyone in the photo (or parent/guardian for under 18s) will have to have given you permission to submit it. You’ll retain copyright to your photo and we’ll credit you whenever we use it.

You can use it as an opportunity to promote your community group, project or local business. As long as it’s in the Glenkens, we’d be delighted to receive it!
