Carsphairn Community Bake Sale
Carsphairn Community Council and local children’s group Bairn Banter jointly hosted an excellent bake sale fundraising event on Saturday 20th September 2025 to help support the annual children’s Halloween Party taking place the following month.
The relaxed café style environment and extensive bric and brac sales table, ran alongside the regular children’s stay and play session at Lagwyne Hall and was part of Glenkens Food Month 2025. Stall holders offering locally grown vegetables, produce, preserves, eggs and a wide selection of beautifully handcrafted cards also accompanied the event for visitors to peruse after their tea and cake.

The organisers would like to take this opportunity to say:
“A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came together to support this wonderful community event. Thanks to all the helpers, volunteers, and stall holders. There were so many contributions of skillfully baked goods, hearty soup, sweet treats and produce, which were enjoyed by all who attended. I am delighted to announce that the grand total of funds raised from the combined sales tale and tea/cake sales came to a tremendous £385.67!”
Melissa Ade from Bairn Banter adds:
“This will make a huge difference to our upcoming children's Halloween party which takes place on 1st November at the Lagwyne Hall. The party is open to all children, but we ask that they are supervised by an adult during this spooktacular event!”
