Week 3: 15th-21st September
Collect your Glenkens Food Hub order on Friday 15th (if you ordered it by Tuesday 12th) and why not take part in the Community Potluck at the Glenkens Community Centre in the evening.
Carsphairn Community Market returns on Saturday 16th in Lagwyne Hall where you can pick up preserves, home baking, plants and fresh vegetables while the children enjoy the Bairn Banter play area.
10-18 year olds can enjoy learning new food-themed dance steps at the CatStrand, also on Saturday, as part of an ongoing programme exploring the world of dance.
Sunday 17th sees a film and writing workshop reflecting on the harvests of Autumn, as well as an exciting opportunity to experience Glenkens food with a Finnish Twist at Risto's Restaurant.
LING Lunches are in New Galloway Town Hall on Tuesday and Rooted: Growing Local Food Ecosystems on Wednesday 20th at the CatStrand, features a film screening followed by discussion about creating a more sustainable and healthy food system.
Rounding off week 3 on Thursday 21st at the CatStrand, is Kate Young’s string quartet with songs inspired by medicinal plants.
