First round of consultation deadline for responses: Friday 27th September 2024

Wind2 is at the early stages of developing a planning application for its Lairdmannoch Energy Park near Laurieston (approximately 7km northeast of Gatehouse of Fleet and 10km west of Castle Douglas).

The Scoping document was submitted to the Energy Consents Unit (ECU) in August 2023. Click here to view the Scoping submission and Scoping Opinion from the ECU.

More information will be provided to local communities throughout the public consultation stages, the first of which commenced Autumn 2024.

Please note that comments made to Wind2 are not representations made to the Energy Consents Unit or to Dumfries and Galloway Council. There will be the opportunity to make direct representations to the Energy Consents Unit when the planning application is submitted in early 2025 (see timeline and other public consultation materials here: https://lairdmannochenergypark.co.uk/public-consultation-events).
