Dumfries and Galloway Council is inviting the public and interested stakeholders to participate in a consultation on the Draft Wind Energy Landscape Sensitivity Study Supplementary Guidance.

Wind2 is at the early stages of developing a planning application for its Lairdmannoch Energy Park near Laurieston (approximately 7km northeast of Gatehouse of Fleet and 10km west of Castle Douglas).

Scottish Power Energy Network (SPEN) are consulting on plans to introduce Community Benefit to support the communities impacted by increased power transmission infrastructure.

The purpose of this consultation is to raise awareness of the Scottish Government’s proposal to make new laws around the heating systems that can be used in homes and places of work, and to invite public opinion on those proposals.
