Seasonal Bird Watching for All In The Glenkens: Springtime

These seasonal guided walks will find and identify our wonderful local birds by sight and sound, providing useful birdwatching tips for beginners and information on the behaviour and ecology of the species encountered.

Seasonal Bird Watching in the Glenkens

The walks will be led by Chris Rollie, retired RSPB Area Manager and current wildlife tour guide with Naturetrek and Adventure Canada.

Birdwatching is one of the healthiest and most rewarding pastimes in modern life, combining gentle exercise in the outdoors with the sensory experience of seeing and hearing birds in the natural world - the real world. Some of these birds will be residents and found in the local area throughout the year, while others will arrive in spring from Africa or in autumn from the high Arctic.

Anytime is a good time to start birdwatching and level of experience – little or lots - is no barrier to the enjoyment and fulfilment of seeing and identifying birds. The main objective of these walks is to see, hear and learn about our local birds, and to provide guidance, advice and encouragement to the inexperienced, as well as good birds and company for all. Please bring binoculars if you have them.
