Church Hall, Crossmichael
The Crossmichael Heritage & Living History project has created a Heritage Centre in Crossmichael Church Hall, as well as interpretive elements in both the Church, churchyard and Hearse Hoose. It was inspired by informal heritage days that highlighted a strong interest in Crossmichael’s local history, archives and position as a gateway to the Glenkens.
A permanent exhibition in the Church Hall and the Hearse Hoose now highlights the amazing history of Crossmichael parish through the creation of a Crossmichael Timeline.
There is a visual display of the area’s colourful history, with an audio-visual ‘Living History’ feature and further ‘In depth’ information.
