Junior Ranger Summer Programme 2026

Are you aged 11–18 and passionate about nature, wildlife and the outdoors? Join the Loch Ken Junior Rangers and take part in an exciting programme of practical conservation activities, outdoor skills and environmental learning while working towards the Scottish Countryside Rangers Association (SCRA) Junior Ranger Award.

Over six sessions, Junior Rangers will develop confidence, teamwork and leadership skills.

Participants are encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible to gain the full benefit of the programme and work towards the Junior Ranger Award.

Sessions will be at locations around Loch Ken and Castle Douglas, with exact locations confirmed in advance to participants. The first session will be held at Lochside Park in Castle Douglas (meet outside The Crannog)
