Celebrating Our Glenkens
Last summer, we profiled some young people from across the Glenkens, showcasing what an inspiring place it is to live and work - for people of all ages.
Over the winter months, we've been gathering more stories from young people, this time showcasing how their lifestyles contribute towards sustainable living in the Glenkens.
Whether it is repurposing old buildings, buying local, reducing our energy use, living off-grid, working in renewables or the environmental sector, you'll be impressed how the young people of the Glenkens are doing their bit for NetZero.
We have been working on this project with Uist Beò, who are also profiling and celebrating life on Uist - challenging perceptions of depopulation, unemployment and an ageing demographic in rural and isolated communities.Keep an eye out for further collaborative working.
