All change at the Ken Bridge Hotel

The Ken Bridge Hotel changed ownership in September from that of long-time proprietors who we wish well in their retirement.

New owners are Alistair and Tatiana Elder who will be helped by their two sons, Leo and Owen. Tatiana says:

“We are really excited and look forward to getting to know the locals, as well as visitors from further afield, and to hopefully create a really lively, active community hub for the villages of the Glenkens.”

The bar is also fully open from 4-11pm every day mid-week and from 11am to 11pm at weekends, with a pool table and darts available in the games room.

Alistair says:

“Both restaurants at the hotel are available for functions, events, corporate and social gatherings, exhibitions, etc. We already have some groups coming for quizzes and meetings."

The couple have lots of plans in the pipeline and are keen to involve the local community. Something they hope to offer soon are three hydro spa hot tubs in the camp site which will be available for hire. They are also keen to attract live music of any genre, and would love to set up a regular gig night, as well as jam nights.

“We have had several suggestions of forming a pool team and also a darts team and it is something we are keen to do,” continues Alistair. “We really are open to suggestions from anyone - can pop in and see us! Our aim is to turn the Ken Bridge back into a hive of activity, providing a welcoming space to get together.”

The couple would like to remind visitors that dogs are welcome on the outdoor terrace but not inside the hotel, and Tatiana goes on to say:

“We are intending to make more of a mess outside as part of the necessary repairs, remedial works and improvements over the coming months but rest assured everything inside the hotel is fully open and functional – so come in and see us!”
