Castlemaddy Land Management Plan

The Castlemaddy plan area comprises of Carminnows, Dundeugh, Marscalloch and Polmaddy forest blocks, covering a 2,826 ha area located to the south of Carsphairn village in southern Scotland. It is part of Scotland’s national forests and land owned by Scottish Ministers on behalf of the people of Scotland and managed by Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS), who are carrying out consultations in order to revise the plan.

FLS are hosting two guided walks this summer:

  • Polmaddy Pack Road: 6 June 2023, 5.30pm – 7.30pm
    Meet at Polmaddy car park, OS grid reference NX 5926 8785

  • Dundeugh Wood: 8 June 2023, 5.30pm – 7.30pm
    Meet at Dundeugh car park, OS grid reference NX 6016 8810
