Dalry Good Neighbour's Club
Good Neighbour's groups have a long history in Dalry; it started as The '73 Club, which went on to become Guid Neighbour's, then it faded out and resurfaced in the 90s as the Good Neighbour's Club. In its last incarnation it was a very popular group with people coming from as far afield as Laurieston, Crossmichael, Carsphairn, Balmaclellan and New Galloway as well as, of course, from Dalry.
The group would like to thank the Glenkens Community Shop for a grant towards the initial rent of the venue for their sessions, which will run at the Glenkens Community Centre on Tuesday afternoons from 2-4pm.
With a varied programme promised over the coming weeks and months, why not come along and join in the fun have a chat and a cuppa, make new friends and catch up with old ones. Some of the past activities at the have included: games afternoons, talks, Who/What do you think this is? Photo Quizes, and there is tea, coffee, biscuits and chatter every week.
Watch out for our yellow posters around the Glenkens advertising the coming programme of events. Have you any suggestions for an afternoon session? We are all ears!
There are possibilities for transport to be provided back to Balmaclellan and New Galloway if needed, as public transport could be used to get to Dalry by 2pm just enquire (there would be a small charge for this service).
