Have you ever wanted to forage but not sure how to go about it?
Come along to our woodland workshops in Galloway. We are starting the foraging season with our all-time favourite – the wild garlic (Allium ursinum). A great wild plant for foraging beginners and well-loved by any seasoned forager.
Wild Garlic fills woodlands and lines waterways throughout the spring and is generous in its abundance. If you don't know what you are looking for it's easy to walk past it.
Our workshops include a foraging walk where you will learn all about identification of the plant, poisonous lookalikes and how to forage ethically and sustainably.
We will be retreating to a warm place where we will be cooking with our foraged goodies, making our fermented wild garlic and learning all about the history, use and benefits of wild garlic.
There will be some hands-on elements to the course, specifically the making of soup with recipe plus wild garlic focaccia baking (pre-made dough as we are not teaching how to bake bread, yet!).
Cost: £40
