Across mainland Europe, nature is making a dramatic recovery. Wildlife is returning, forests are expanding, rivers are being set free and wetlands restored.
As nature bounces back, people are returning too, finding new economic opportunities and enjoying the many benefits of a revitalised landscape.
And locally, initiatives across the Glenkens to better understand and record nature and wildlife are feeding into wider activities to support revitalised nature networks and restore habitats where appropriate to boost biodiversity.
Join us at Lagwyne Hall in Carsphairn for a screening of ‘Why Not Scotland?’, a feature-length documentary from the makers of Riverwoods.
Niki Inglis will lead the event, giving an update on the citizen science activities and observations at Carsphairn Community Woodland and elsewhere.
