The Trustees of the Scottish Dark Sky Observatory invite you to join us for a FREE Community Event at the former Clatteringshaws Visitor Centre to view the PARTIAL SOLAR ECLIPSE occurring between 10.00am and 12.30pm on Saturday 29 March.

A supply of special solar observing glasses will be available to help attendees safely view the partial eclipse.

In addition we’ll have a Solarscope for safe viewing of the sun. Astronomers will be on hand to answer your questions.

A limited range of refreshments will be available (for a small charge – cash only).

Parking will be available in the adjacent car park (first come, first served basis).

If you’re planning to attend, please send an RSVP with your name and the number in your group by e-mail to info@sdso.org.uk to help us judge numbers – also so we can contact you if the weather turns nasty and we need to cancel the event.
