Pierre Schryer is one of his country’s leading traditional fiddlers. His fretboard and bowing acrobatics have captivated audiences around the world, all thrilled too by his depth of character and warmth. . . Expect to be treated to a whiz-bang set that’s influenced as much by Bluegrass, Celtic, Jazz, Gypsy, Country, Folk and Old Time.
Blazin’ Fiddles founder and former BBC folk show presenter, Bruce MacGregor describes Pierre as “absolutely sensational.” The pair have a full UK tour lined up including an appearance at the prestigious Blazin In Beauly festival.
Seán Gray has been wowing audiences too as a multi-talented force whose playing credits make impressive reading. As a member of the award-winning Paul McKenna Band, described by The New York Times as “the best folk band to have come out of Scotland in the last twenty years,” in 2017 he was commissioned to write a piece for the highly respected New Voices concert series at Celtic Connections. In demand as a session musician (he plays guitar, flute and whistle, and has a rich singing voice) he has also toured with a variety of top acts including The Outside Track and The Treacherous Orchestra.
Together, Pierre and Seán represent diverse and hugely successful musical careers laden with approval and award nominations.
