In this four-hour creative writing workshop, facilitated by writer & creative guide Dr Rachel Newsome, we will explore Glaisters Bridge Community Site through a series of nature-connection writing practices.

The workshop will include writing in response to the landscape: what we see and hear, what we feel, what we can’t see, and what we imagine. No previous writing experience is necessary and there will be no pressure to read anything out, Rachel will guide us and there will be small group discussions for collectively sharing our thoughts and streams of words.

All you need is pen (or pencil) and paper. And, in the spirit of immersing ourselves in nature, we will also be immersing ourselves in the weather, come rain or shine. So appropriate clothing is essential, perhaps something to sit on, and possibly an umbrella too.
