An opportunity to have your say on development in your local area at Bairn Banter on Saturday 2nd March 2024
Local Place Plans have been introduced to give communities the opportunity to express what is important to them, and to have this consensus reflected in local development planning.
Adopted Local Place Plans will be incorporated into the Dumfries and Galloway’s next Local Development Plan, which will be valid for the following decade, and proposed developments will need to have regard to the views expressed within.
Perhaps you have thoughts about local school or play provision, public transport, housing, or other issues to do with life in the Glenkens.
We would love to hear your views as parents and find out what is working well at the moment, what facilities and services are important to you, what is missing and what needs to be improved.
We will have questionnaires available on the day, and we will be happy to answer questions about the process and how you can get more involved.
