Derek vs Derek (15) - Directed by James Dawson

Length of film: 1hr 28mins

Genre: Documentary

Follows two implacably opposed neighboring farmers in Devon, England, both named Derek. One believes in intensive farming while the other creates an oasis for nature, driven by opposing perceptions of agriculture..

The third movie hosted by KPD Screen is by Award-winning director James Dawson , it follows neighbouring farmers Derek Banbury and Derek Gow as they navigate their very different views of the countryside.

One believes in traditional farming. The other – Scottish-born conservationist Derek Gow, originally from Biggar – has become one of Britain's best-known and most outspoken rewilders.

Funny, warm and surprisingly moving, Derek vs Derek explores much more than farming. It's about neighbours, differing values, difficult conversations, and whether people with opposing views can find common ground.

Whether you're a farmer, gardener, conservationist, nature lover, or simply enjoy great documentary filmmaking, this is a film that will leave you thinking long after the credits roll.
