A Community Council drop-in session to gather residents’ views will be held on Tuesday 5th of March from 4pm to 7pm at Lagwyne Hall.
Local Place Plans have been introduced to give communities the opportunity to express what is important to them, and to have this consensus reflected in local development planning.
Adopted Local Place Plans will be incorporated into the Dumfries and Galloway’s next Local Development Plan, which will be valid for the following decade, and proposed developments will need to have regard to the views expressed within.
As a first step towards a Carsphairn Local Place Plan, the Community Council is holding a drop-in event to hear from residents what they think works well at present, what is missing and what could be improved - both within the village centre and in the wider Community Council area.
A draft plan will subsequently be formulated based on the views and comments received.
We want to hear from as many residents as possible to ensure that our plan truly reflects the views of the community so please do come along.
If you’re not able to make it on the day but want to be involved, please contact us via carsphairncc@gmail.com.
