Galloway Sings for Gaza - Workshop

Join the scratch choir to learn three songs for peace, freedom and justice leading to a performance that evening.

Galloway Sings for Gaza Workshop
  • All ages and abilities welcome.

  • Includes entry and participation in the evening concert.

Galloway Sings for Gaza – a scratch choir, led by Kate Howard ( Cairn Chorus, Songwave Choir) with Rose Ardron. Following our successful event last September  - you can watch it here: https://youtu.be/8QGGzB4YGxY?si=p1xI_XO9zrPibEBC  - we are calling out to singers to join us to learn three songs on the themes of peace, freedom and justice that reflect both Palestinian and Scots culture.

This afternoon event will bring people from across Galloway together in community, to sing songs for the people of Gaza as an act of solidarity. We will perform the songs that evening as part of the Galloway Voices for Gaza event.

All ages are welcome - children must be accompanied by an adult. If you like to sing you are welcome. No experience of singing in a choir is required. No need to read music - all songs will be taught by ear. For those who would prefer them, sheet music and sound files will be made available in advance.
There will be a short afternoon break – bring your own refreshments. Food will be provided in the break between the afternoon workshop and the evening event.
