A terrifically warm, generous film about real-life activist John Davidson, who is from Galashiels in the Scottish Borders and has Tourette syndrome, with its tics, compulsive behaviour patterns and random obscene shouts.
This is an absorbing, compassionate film which raises questions about the extent of what we call normal. With Peter Mullan, Maxine Peake and Shirley Henderson giving fine performances.
