A beautiful film by Terence Davies, who died in 2023, about the life of American Poet Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) whose work was hardly known until after her death but has been universally admired since.
Throughout her life in New England she lived within a close and affectionate family realising that there she could only be free to write her poetry whilst she denied herself her own husband and family.
Films start at 7.30pm with doors open at 7.00pm for Tea and Cake.
Cost: £5
Location: Dalry Town Hall
