Force 9 Energy, in partnership with Vestas, is holding a public consultation event to invite members of the local community and other interested parties to find out more about its proposal to install up to 17 wind turbines approximately four kilometres to the south of the village of Moniaive and just under 20 kilometres north west of Dumfries.
Force 9 and Vestas are planning two rounds of public exhibitions, with the first consultation taking place on:

Balmaclellan Village Hall, Castle Douglas, DG7 3QE, 1pm - 4pm
Glencairn Memorial Institute, 3 Chapel St Moniaive, Thornhill, DG3 4EJ, 5.30pm - 9pm
The exhibition will provide details of Force 9 and Vestas’ proposed design for the wind farm and offer local residents an opportunity to share their feedback.
Members of the project team will be on hand to discuss the proposals and to answer any questions.
Please note that comments made will be collected and used by Force 9 Energy and Vestas, not the determining authority. Representations to the determining authority will be possible following the submission of a planning application.
