Cultural Glenkens: Mosstales Readings

Cultural Glenkens - Mosstales Readngs

MossTales — Volume One

Some places keep their stories close.

Galloway is one of them. Moss and moor. Forest and loch. Old tracks that lead nowhere now. Ruins that still remember who lived there. MossTales gathers the stories this land has held onto and unweaves them from the tendrils of the land. A healer at the edge of the woods, waiting for the King's man. A keeper on the grouse moor, who knew the light was failing. A railway line that was closed, and a place that never forgot its presence.

These are tales of ordinary people in a hard, beautiful place. They lived by the weather and the seasons. They were shaped by the land, and they left their mark on it. Some stories are true. Some are nearly true. All of them grew from the ground they are set on.

This is the first MossTales collection. It is for anyone who has walked a lonely road and wondered who came before. More stories, and a map of the storyworld, are soon available at mosstales.com
