Climate Cafe

Balmaclellan Climate Cafe

What is a Climate Café?

You might have heard the term and wondered what it actually means…

  • A Climate Café isn’t a lecture.

  • It’s not a debate.

  • And you don’t need to be an expert.

It’s simply a relaxed, friendly space where people can come together over a cup of tea or coffee and homemade biscuits and talk about how climate change is making them feel.

  • For some, that’s worry about the future.

  • For others, frustration.

  • For many, it’s uncertainty about what to do next.

A Climate Café is about:

  • Listening without judgement

  • Sharing thoughts and experiences

  • Connecting with others in our community

  • Turning anxiety into conversation

There’s no pressure to speak. You can just come along and listen.

  • There’s no politics.

  • No presentations.

  • Just people.

In rural communities like ours, climate change can feel both very close to home and very overwhelming at the same time. A Climate Café gives us space to process that together.

If you’ve ever:

  • Felt concerned about extreme weather

  • Wondered what small changes make a difference

  • Wanted to feel less alone in your worries

…this space is for you.

Come along. Bring a friend. Stay for five minutes or the whole session.

Tea, coffee and a warm welcome provided

Let’s talk.
