What is a Climate Café?
You might have heard the term and wondered what it actually means…
A Climate Café isn’t a lecture.
It’s not a debate.
And you don’t need to be an expert.
It’s simply a relaxed, friendly space where people can come together over a cup of tea or coffee and homemade biscuits and talk about how climate change is making them feel.
For some, that’s worry about the future.
For others, frustration.
For many, it’s uncertainty about what to do next.
A Climate Café is about:
Listening without judgement
Sharing thoughts and experiences
Connecting with others in our community
Turning anxiety into conversation
There’s no pressure to speak. You can just come along and listen.
There’s no politics.
No presentations.
Just people.
In rural communities like ours, climate change can feel both very close to home and very overwhelming at the same time. A Climate Café gives us space to process that together.
If you’ve ever:
Felt concerned about extreme weather
Wondered what small changes make a difference
Wanted to feel less alone in your worries
…this space is for you.
Come along. Bring a friend. Stay for five minutes or the whole session.
Tea, coffee and a warm welcome provided
Let’s talk.
