One of the most innovative groups in the new wave of UK jazz, Nimbus Sextet are bringing their electrifying blend of jazz, world and dance music to top venues and festivals across the UK & Europe.

They are noted for continuously expanding their musical horizons, bringing varied musical influences into their progressive sonic palette.

The core of the band’s sound comes courtesy of bandleader & composer Joe Nichols (keys/harmonica). Nichols signed Nimbus Sextet to Acid Jazz Records in spring 2019. The band’s breakthrough debut album DREAMS FULFILLED was released in autumn 2020, receiving critical acclaim from Jazzwise, Clash, Jazzed and radio stations worldwide. Singles ‘Trap Door’ and ‘Lily White’ featured heavily on the Jazz FM playlist for several months, and the album later won Jazz FM’s ‘Album Of The Week’. The HELIX EP followed in autumn 2021, which enjoyed plays on BBC Radio 6 Music.
