Join NTS Threave Head Ranger Dave Thompson and Galloway & Southern Ayrshire Biosphere’s Communities Team for special walk at Threave this November.

Hear about about Threave’s unique, 100-yr landscape restoration project from the Head Ranger himself, and the GSA Biosphere Team will be on hand to provide an update on our boundary expansion as well as having been allocated host of the brand new Dumfries and Galloway Climate Hub.

This walk will be approximately 8.5kms with stops for chat and to visit some of the wildlife hides. Some parts of this route are uneven underfoot, including tree roots.

There are toilets at Threave Gardens and Threave Reserve. There is a café at Threave Gardens. All participants should dress appropriately. This walk will be cancelled in the event of extreme weather.
